Not all worlds visited by the Dark Carnival are met with cheer and festivities. On rare occasions, Hughe Percival Lockcross will deem a world better destroyed than brokered and so musters his warhosts. With horrifying cunning and utter ruthlessness, they came as a tide that brought the entirety of your world to ruin. As far as you are aware, you are the sole survivor of such a calamity. Whether you escaped through an extraplanar portal or were saved through otherworldly intervention, you now roam anew world without a home to call your own. You are often met with compassion from its denizens, although even they know not why they feel the need to be so altruistic to a complete stranger such as yourself. Despite the kindness shown to you, you can never forget the crooked smile that spawned countless atrocities upon you and your former world.

Although your world is uninhabitable, the new lands you journey appear far more hospitable. Whether through pity or altruism, those you come across greet you with far more empathy for your plight regardless of their knowledge of your past. Locals are also more likely to come to your defense should you find yourself in a tight spot, but will not risk their lives to do so.
You are regarded as family to other Warhost Survivors you may come across in your travels and viewed as a mortal enemy to those with the Darkling background. Additionally, the Dark Ringmaster himself is always aware of your actions and situations.
