You are an educated scholar to such a point that you have begun to teach people in certain topics that you have been educated in. Where others have found work in manual labour, you have found work in educating the next generations into being the next step in developing the world (or so you might think).
You might have been educating classes at schools or universities for major classes that you lead. Or maybe you have found employment as a personal tutor for a few people, typically noblefolk, that seeks your knowledge and ways of learning it.
Your call to adventure might easily coinside with that of your scholarly colleagues, that the typical call involves retrieval of knowledge. You might have heard of a particular book series that you might need to improve your education. Maybe your students have gone missing or are involved in some shady business that calls you away from the classroom. No matter the reason, the call can both happen within the city of your employment, even on the institution or perhaps in an foreign nation.

- Equipment: the one or two artisan tools that you are proficient in (see teaching topic segment), an abacus, a book, 5 pieces of parchment, a charcoal pen, common clothes, an emblem showing your profession and a pouch with 10 gp.
Since you are a teacher, you are specialized in certain topics that you are teaching, or have teached, others about. This determines your skills, tools and languages. Roll twice for skills and twice for tools and languages on, or choose two teaching topics (two for skills and two for tools) from the table below. If you land on a skill or tool that you already have, reroll.

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature.
Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found.
Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
