A new name, a new job, a new identity. For one reason or another you had to leave your old life behind, maybe you were a murderer on the run or a poor sod made a scapegoat for some nefarious plot. One way or another though you escaped persecution and have made a life for yourself elsewhere. Things may never be the same again, but at least you are alive.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two skills. One that reflects your past and old life, and one for your new life and the skills that you had to learn to fit into your new role.
- Tool Proficiencies: You are proficient in one tool of your choice that reflects your new job or lifestyle.
- Equipment: Your chosen tool (see the sidebar), a set of common clothes, and one pouch of 15 gold.
