The Broken Soldier (Karrnathi Deserter)
A soldier of the Last War, you were recruited into the Order of the Emerald Claw expecting honorable duty. Instead, you were ordered to commit atrocities against your own people. You walked away, taking your blade with you.
- Skill Proficiencies: Intimidation, Survival, Animal Handling
- Tool Proficiencies: Tinker's Tools or Mason’s Tools
- Equipment: A set of ragged Karrnathi military fatigues, a heavily damaged shield or weapon marked with the Emerald Claw, a cloak, a token from a dead comrade, and a pouch with 5 gp.
- Feature: Soldier’s Scorn. You find it easy to relate to refugees, mercenaries, and downtrodden veterans. You can often find a place to hide and food to eat in camps of displaced people, provided you are willing to share stories of the war. They are fearful of the Emerald Claw, but will respect your bravery in leaving.
- Feature: Shadow Skulker.
- Feature:Vermin Adjacent. You can cast Summon Beast once per day to recruit 1d4 vermin of your choice. The beast/s are friendly and obey your commands. The vermin cannot inflict damage, and cannot be knowingly cause themselves harm. Once summoned, they can afford you the [Tooltip Not Found] during initiative and have 1hp.
