You were born into a community that was under the protection or control of a dragon. Many Chromatic dragons learn it is easier to bully a group of humanoids to find and produce treasure for it than it is to search for it themselves. They will often hold entire villages hostage in exchange for meeting a series of demands ranging from labor, to treasure or even sacrifices. Less often a metallic dragon will form a bond with a humanoid community living close to its lair. This dragon will offer the community protection in exchange for services and treasure. Dragons of all breeds are likely to bring humanoids in these communities into its lair to preform manual labor, expand its lair, or entertain them. you spent a considerable amount of time inside the dragon's lair and learned from its vast knowledge.

- Equipment: One set of tools you're proficient with, a brooch fashioned from one of your dragonic master's scales, a set of common clothes, a pouch containing 15gp of a variety of different mintings, some from civilizations that have been forgotten.
You recognize the effects of a dragon's latent magic on the terrain around you. Any time you enter terrain that has been magically altered by a dragon (see Regional Effects) you immediately recognize the alterations and their dragonic source. After spending 5 minutes in the terrain you can discern the breed and age of the dragon. Furthermore you receive advantage on all charisma related checks when dealing with dragons.

Dragon Sworn personality traits vary wildly depending on the relationship of the dragon to the community. Expect to see traits similar to the Entertainer, Sage, Soldier or Urchin backgrounds.
