Former Commander of the Nightfall Armies

You were not simply created—you were purposed.

Forged (or transformed) into a Graveforged, your Phylax-Core was attuned not only to sustain your existence, but to project dominion. You served as a battlefield commander of the Nightfall Armies, directing vast undead legions through spell, sigil, and silent command. Battalions of skeletons advanced at your will. Wraiths obeyed your gestures. Entire battlefields fell quiet beneath your control.

But your master is gone now. Destroyed by your former enemies in the last battle, but with their destruction came your freedom.

No longer bound to another’s will, you now walk your own path. Yet the habits of command remain—and the dead still seem to listen.

Ability Scores:

Ability Scores: Increase one ability score by 2 and another by 1, or increase three different ability scores by 1.

You can choose only from Intelligence, Constitution, and Wisdom.

Feat: Phylax Resurgence

Your Phylax-Core twists fate using fragments of stolen souls.

You have 1 Resurgence use, which you regain when you finish a long rest.

When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can use this feature to roll an additional d20 and choose which result to use. You can do so after rolling the die, but before the outcome is determined.

Soul-Fueled Resurgence

When you use this feature, you can expend 1 Soul Charge. If you do, you do not expend your Resurgence use.

Skill Proficiencies: You are proficient with:

• Intimidation

Tool Proficiencies: You are proficient with:

• Gaming Set (choose one)
• Calligrapher's Supplies

Equipment:

• A money pouch containing 25 GP
• a Gaming Set (of your choice)
• a Book (or Spellshard)
• a Backpack of the Commander
• an arcane focus
