“Those who resist shrivel. Those who succumb conquer. And as for those who survive… we feed them to the worms.” — Zxcyioscxzsqcx’s Guide Ceremorphosis for Illithids
Long ago, you were captured by Mind Flayers, and, deemed worthy of their immense intellect, planted with a Mind Flayer Tadpole. But something went wrong— because you never became a Mind Flayer like you were supposed to. After blacking out with the tadpole’s tentacles creeping up your face, you awoke to find that you were yourself. Whether still in the Illithids’ hands or tossed out, by then you knew there was something off. Now, as you struggle to readjust to the world, uncanny abilities begin to show through. And you begin to wonder…
Did the tadpole ever really leave?

You retain the remnants of a strange psionic power, whispering from deep inside you. You gain a small list of spells (see below), and gain them at the noted level. You may cast them with any appropriate spell slots you have available, and once per day without a slot. Your spellcasting ability for these spells is Intelligence, and they are always prepared. Additionally, you do not need Somatic, Verbal, or Material components to cast them with, except for when it requires a costly Material component or is consumed by the spell.
