You have always been fascinated by ancient cultures, and moreso by what they have left behind. You have spent much of your life in pursuit of such objects and have developed an affinity at locating them. While others seek money and power, you are most interested in what came before, and how you can make it yours. Perhaps you prefer mundane items, but most treasure hunters can't resist a good magical item or artifact. If it can benefit you in your hunt for more, that's just all the better.

Equipment: A wooden case containing a map to a ruin or dungeon rumored to contain treasure, a bullseye lantern, a miner’s pick, a set of traveler’s clothes, a shovel, a two-person tent, a trinket recovered from a dig site, and a pouch containing 25 gp

You are an expert in finding information about treasures and locations that are rumored to contain them. You know where to go to find out any of this information. You can do so in any populated area, and you have heard tell of various people throughout the lands whom have some special information.

Starting from level 1, you can choose a Favored Treasure from the following list: weapon, armor, trinket, accessory, clothing. You may choose an additional Favored Treasure at levels 5, 10, 15, and 20. From level 10, you can choose an additional treasure type: artifact.

You have advantage on checks to find or recall information on any of your favored treasures.

For instance, your bond might involve other treasure hunters or people you met on the way in your pursuits. Your ideal could be associated with what you do with the items when you find them or which items you will and won't take from their resting place.
