🐚 Shellkeeper Apprentice Image

The sea remembers everything.

Along the shores of Aethel-on-Sea, each shell, piece of sea glass, weathered coin, and message in a bottle tells a story waiting to be uncovered. As an apprentice to the shellkeepers, you've spent years learning to preserve these treasures, listening to the legends behind them, and protecting the history of your coastal home.

To most people, a seashell is simply a beautiful keepsake.

To you, it's a memory.

Whether cataloging rare beach finds, studying forgotten shipwrecks, or helping visitors discover the stories hidden beneath the tide, you've developed an appreciation for the quiet magic found in everyday moments.

This summer, you'll discover that some memories are still waiting to be found.

Feature: Collector's Eye

Years spent studying the shoreline have trained you to notice details others overlook.

When exploring beaches, tide pools, caves, ruins, museums, or historical sites, you can usually identify objects of historical, cultural, or sentimental significance without difficulty.

Once per long rest, after spending at least 10 minutes carefully searching an area, you may ask the Dungeon Master one of the following questions:
• Is there something valuable hidden here?
• Is there something historically significant nearby?
• What object in this area seems most unusual?

The Dungeon Master answers truthfully if such information would reasonably be discoverable through careful observation.

In addition, members of the shellkeepers recognize your pendant and are generally willing to offer historical knowledge, access to archives, or assistance with identifying unusual artifacts.
