Relic-Wielder Image

You are in possession of an inherited relic of great value. This object has been entrusted to you and you alone. It might have come directly to you from a member of your family, by right of birth, or it could have been left to you by a friend, mentor, a teacher, or someone else important in your life.

This relic manifests itself as a magical item of some kind. Work with your DM to choose which type of magical item best suits your character: armor, ring, rod, staff, wand, weapon or wondrous item. The magic item functions as a normal item of its kind and you are unable to attune to your relic until your DM thinks the time is right.

If you lose your relic, you can perform a 1-hour blood-rite ceremony to create a replacement. This ceremony can be performed during a Short or Long Rest, and it destroys the previous relic. The relic turns to ash when you die.

*When you choose the spells from your Magic Initiate Feat, you don’t have to choose spells from the same class list, but your relic is your spellcasting focus for those spells.
