Archive Keeper Image

"The Archives remember everything. You merely learned how to listen."

Some preserve kingdoms. Others preserve knowledge.

For years, you served within the endless halls of the Midnight Archives, cataloguing forgotten civilizations, repairing ancient tomes, translating dead languages, and safeguarding knowledge too dangerous to be left unattended. Every page, artifact, and memory entrusted to your care carried the weight of history.

Life among the shelves taught you that information is often more valuable than gold, and that understanding can be the greatest weapon of all. Even now, beyond the Archive's walls, you instinctively observe, record, and seek answers where others see only mysteries.

Feature: Living Catalogue

Years spent cataloguing knowledge have sharpened your ability to locate information and recognize patterns.

Whenever you spend at least 10 minutes searching a library, archive, collection, or similar repository of information, you can quickly determine:

  • where the most useful records are located,
  • whether the information you're seeking likely exists there,
  • and who or what maintains the collection.

Additionally, librarians, scholars, historians, and archivists generally recognize your profession and are more willing to grant reasonable access to public records, provided you conduct yourself respectfully.

This feature never grants access to protected information that would otherwise be impossible to obtain, but it often opens doors that remain closed to ordinary travelers.
