You came from a family with little or no connection to magic. You weren't raised around spellbooks or magical bloodlines. Perhaps your parents are farmers, merchants, soldiers, craftsmen, or ordinary townsfolk. Your magical talent was discovered later in life, and the school gave you an opportunity that your family could never have provided.
