"There are inmates and there are convicts. A convict has a certain code. And he knows to show a certain respect. An inmate, on the other hand, pulls the pin on his fellow man. Does the guard's work for them. Brings shame to the game. So, which are you gonna be?" ~ The Guv
You are, or were, a "guest" at a prison. You were the target of a bounty, either for a crime you committed or a political action you took, and were captured and incarcerated. Being on the inside either changed or it brought out something inside you and you adapted to survive. As a convict you know the ins and outs of the prison system. You know who runs the yard, which guards are on the take and maybe even the weaknesses in the facility.
- Skill Proficiencies: Convicts gain proficiency in one of the skills below:

A shiv (treated as a dagger) or small club, a personal keepsake (Roll or choose on the Trinket Table), 2d6 copper coins (or other equivalent trade goods), A set of Common Clothes and a soup cup.
You committed a crime or crossed a powerful person... either way you had a bounty on your head. As a result you ended up in prison, but what did you do?!

Your time behind bars has taught you valuable lessons about respect, fear and power. You have a certain Reputation among other convicts, even those who have never met you. When you interact with criminals, convicts and any other similar person (DM discretion), you can use your Rep to your advantage by making a DC 10 Deception or Intimidation check (choose whichever one you are proficient in). Success mans you have advantage on any further Deception and Intimidation checks made involving them for the next hour. Failure means that you don't live up to your Rep and have disadvantage on all social rolls against the person or persons you were trying to coerce for 24 hours or until you live up to your Rep.

You are a prisoner who lacks a certain amount of respect and decorum. You look out for yourself first and foremost and have a reputation for betraying other prisoners.
You have the uncanny ability to ingratiate yourself to those in power. When you get caught committing a crime or other illegal activity you can lessen the consequences by offering the guard, warden or other authority figure information on other crimes, criminals, convicts or inmates. This information must be true (although not completely accurate) and is at the whim of the DM. Guards, Wardens and other Authority Figures treat you better than other inmates as long as you continue to provide reliable information.
