WHITE KNIGHT
Knight of the Diamond Court • Guardian • Oathkeeper
“A knight’s oath is strongest when the world gives you every reason to break it.”
Introduction
The White Knights were once the shining protectors of the Diamond Kingdom, sworn to defend its people and uphold the ideals of the White Queen.
They were trained to stand between danger and those who could not defend themselves. Even after the Kingdom fractured, many White Knights continued their duties, protecting refugees, escorting travelers, and guarding the remnants of civilization.
You were taught that a knight's greatest weapon isn't their sword. It is their oath. But Underland has a way of making even the purest oaths difficult to keep.

Contacts
Contacts Description
Your years among the Diamond Court and its surviving military orders have left you with connections throughout Underland. Your contacts may be former soldiers, refugees you protected, fellow knights, court officials, smiths, guards, or members of your fallen order.
Your contacts are not necessarily loyal to you, and some may have their own complicated feelings about the Diamond Court.
Contact Table
| d6 | Contact |
|---|---|
| 1 | A former knight who still patrols the roads of the Diamond Kingdom. |
| 2 | A refugee you once protected who now runs a small settlement. |
| 3 | A court servant who secretly carries messages for surviving Diamond loyalists. |
| 4 | A blacksmith who maintained your order's weapons and armor. |
| 5 | A former commander who knows what truly happened during the Breaking. |
| 6 | A fellow White Knight who disappeared after the fall of your order. |
You served as a personal guardian to someone important within the Diamond Court.
Prerequisite: You must have ties to the Diamond Kingdom or another recognized courtly household.
Instead of the Knight's Oath feature, you gain the White Rose Knight feature.
Feature: White Rose Knight
Your service within the Diamond Court gave you access to people, places, and traditions normally hidden from common citizens.
You can usually secure an audience with minor nobility, court officials, or members of the old Diamond Court when you have a legitimate reason to seek them out. Those who recognize your former station may offer information, temporary shelter, or other minor assistance.
Your reputation does not guarantee obedience or loyalty, particularly among those who oppose the old Diamond Court.
Some White Knights were remembered less for their rank and more for the people they protected.
Instead of the Knight's Oath feature, you gain the Stand Behind Me feature.
Feature: Stand Behind Me
When protecting someone weaker than yourself, your presence becomes unmistakably knightly.
When a creature you can see within 5 feet of you is frightened or being threatened, you can use a Bonus Action to place yourself between them and the danger. Until the beginning of your next turn, you have Advantage on saving throws made to resist being frightened, and the creature gains a +1 bonus to its Armor Class while it remains within 5 feet of you.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a Short or Long Rest.
Creatures who recognize the traditions of the White Knights may instinctively look to you for protection or leadership.
Prerequisite: You must have served as a guardian, knight, soldier, or protector.
