RED KNAVE
Knight of Hearts • Royal Executioner • Duelist
“The Queen gives the order. The Knave gives the answer.”
Introduction
The Red Knaves were not knights in the traditional sense.
They were the blade behind the throne.
Serving the Red Queen of Salazen, Knaves were trained in dueling, intimidation, interrogation, and royal enforcement. Their loyalty was expected to be absolute. A Knave did not question an order. A Knave carried it out.
You were one of them.
Whether you still wear the red is another question.

Some Red Knaves were not merely soldiers of the Queen. They were personally trained and trusted by one of the Red Queen's favored champions.
You were one of these Knaves.
Your training was more demanding, your access to the Court greater, and your connection to the Queen more personal. With that privilege came an expectation of absolute loyalty.
Prerequisite
You must have originated from Salazen.
Variant Feature: Royal Favor
Your connection to one of the Red Queen's favored champions grants you recognition among certain members of the former Red Court.
You can identify the heraldry, traditions, and ranks of Salazen's royal guard and may be recognized by former members of the Court.
When dealing with former Red Court soldiers or servants who respect your former rank, you can use your position to request minor favors, information, or assistance at the DM's discretion.
You know the formal rules and traditions of Court dueling.
When challenged publicly to a formal duel by someone who recognizes the tradition, refusing without explanation may damage your reputation among those familiar with Salazen's customs.
You have advantage on Charisma checks made to maintain your reputation or negotiate the terms of a formal Court duel.
Prerequisite
You must have proficiency with a martial weapon and have spent part of your background in Salazen or under the instruction of a Red Court duelist.
