Dun Image

Dun spent many years as a long-term mercenary in the service of a Dwarven clan. What began as a simple contract became a lasting relationship, and Dun fought alongside the Dwarves through countless battles, defending their people, settlements, and interests.

Years of warfare exposed Dun to some of the worst horrors imaginable. He witnessed men torn apart, watched comrades die around him, and learned firsthand how quickly a battlefield can turn into a slaughterhouse. Over time, the constant violence hardened him. Dun became stoic and rarely speaks unless spoken to, preferring to let his actions speak for him.

Dun eventually became a battlefield healer out of necessity. In the chaos of war, there was often nobody else to keep the wounded alive. He learned to treat horrific injuries while arrows flew and blades clashed, becoming just as valuable at keeping his companions alive as he was at fighting beside them.

His years among the Dwarves also taught him their language and customs. Though he was hired as a mercenary, Dun came to see many of the Dwarves he served alongside as family. He formed strong bonds with those who fought beside him, and once he considers someone a companion, he will go to great lengths to protect them.

Dun has since returned to working as a hired mercenary, taking contracts wherever his skills are needed. He may fight for coin, but he does not treat his companions as disposable. The one thing Dun struggles with is asking for help himself. He is accustomed to being the one others depend upon and would rather endure a wound in silence than admit he cannot handle something alone.
