Order and violence is part of Ship City and the Lost Horizon. And you were their arbiter. You have experienced the terror and rush of combat as well as the stalemate that order can bring. Working as a constable, guard, private protector or hunter – it's all the same, only different facets of order and violence. You know how to handle all the tools of destruction from fusillard revolvers, to coiler rifles and, the Three forbid – destructive explosives. What's left afterwards can be dealt with by others.
ZAPTI CONSTABLE
The law stands above all, at least Guild law. And you were the law, its long arm and enforcer. Appointed by the Guilds, you independently ran a borough, patrolling, talking to residents, or staring down delinquents. Sometimes you had to intervene and draw your fusillard revolver, and in the rarest cases, even call in the Guild militia as reinforcements.
GUILD MILITIA
The Guilds controlled Ship City, and you were their enforcer. When something needed protection, surveillance, or, in the worst-case scenario, retrieval for the Guild, you and your fellow watchmen handled it. You could deal with any opposition, but most of the time, there wasn’t any. Most days, you just patrolled – dull, routine, and monotonous work.
FUSILLARD PROTECTOR
Protection was your life. You provided it directly by shielding your client from attacks by malicious thugs, wrecker crews, or even worse, or indirectly by eliminating threats before they could cause harm. Your handling of the fusillard gun was unprecedented. The combination of the fusillard with your armor and shield made you a formidable force to be reckoned with in every situation.
GUILD INVESTIGATOR
Everything is not as it seems – you knew this from experience. You solved the Guild's more complex problems, crimes from within or without. You liked to think you were one of the best, but the truth was somewhere in between, even though you actually solved some cases. It wasn’t enough to get by, so you did some private work on the side and took commissions from private patrons.
CORIOLITE GUARD
Guarding the families was no simple task. It wasn’t just about keeping watch – it required mastering the noble art of presentation, marching in formation, and maintaining proper composure during receptions and events. You learned to do it all, and with a certain flair, while keeping your skills as a guard sharp. Balancing both with ease, you achieved nothing short of excellence.
BOUNTY HUNTER
Bounties are plentiful in the Lost Horizon, and you took advantage of that. Violent criminals, frauds, and the ubiquitous toads were always free targets. You had to be cunning, smart, and have rapport, and not be afraid to resort to violence or at least the threat of it. The hunt took you all across Jumuah, from the alleys of Ship City to the grottos of Hasrah Moon. In the end, what drove you was the thrill rather than the satisfaction of justice.
