As a Scheming Outcast, you were probably cast out from society at a young age, perhaps because of a crime, scandal, or even leaving willingly. Now, you've decided you want to come back, though perhaps not in the most conventional of ways. Perhaps you want to destroy or enslave those who mocked you and cast you out, or perhaps you are an anarch who wants to bring civilization as a whole to its knees.
Why did your character leave society? Were they kicked out or did they leave willingly? What did they do that forced them to leave? What is their grand plan?
- Tool Proficiencies: Choose any two musical instruments or gaming sets.
- Equipment: A set of traveler's clothes, a cracked hooded lantern, a diary or journal, and a small handmade pouch containing 5 gp.
People that knew you before you left society may be a little frightened of you, even if they don't show it at first. You can often manage to find a quiet place where you can be alone in any town, whether it's to complete a ritual, write in your diary, or continue plotting the downfall of your hometown.
Suggested Characteristics
Being an outcast is a difficult life, and you may have developed a somewhat grim outlook on life. You probably have few friends and are quick to anger or impulsive, but you are most likely also quite patient and willing to spend years on a grandiose plan or scheme.

Despite being cast out of civilization, you've remained optimistic and are often kind to those you meet, however rarely it may be. You've developed a plan to integrate yourself back into society while harming the fewest people possible.
Being the kind but unfortunate person that you are, you can often convince civilians to pity you and give you small amounts of food or water. By doing this, you can manage to feed yourself and a few others other at no cost much of the time.
