You were born and raised on a farm. The farm has either been given to you from generations passed, is intended for you, or you have passed it down to children of your own (assuming it wasn't destroyed in some way). While you have spent your entire life tilling the soil and caring for livestock, you mind has spent its time wandering the world based on stories overheard from travelers at the inn, around town, or from your customers. Finally, the call of the wild has proven too much for you and you must set out on your own.

Skill Proficiencies: Choose 2 Skills from Nature, Animal Handling, Medicine, and Survival
Tool Proficiencies: Choose two Tool Proficiencies from a list of recreational or reparation tools.
Languages: Due to lack of travel and social interactions, you haven't learned any new languages
Equipment: Two sets of artisan’s tools from your chosen proficiencies, a winter blanket, a set of traveler’s clothes, a shortbow and arrows or light crossbow and bolts, and a pouch containing 5 gp

Feature: Salt of the Earth

Your life on the farm makes you particularly suited to recognize plants and animals in terms of threat assessment or hunting stock. It also provides you the knowledge to connect with the common folk as well as just how much your stories need to be embellished for the crowd, if at all. Your understanding of the plight of the commoners also means they may be more willing to divulge information to "one of their own" even as an outsider. While you may blend in with a crowd, you tend to stand out in upper class or generally off-limit areas.

Suggested Characteristics

While they may understand the value of hard work and honest pay, the call of their dreams is strong enough to take them beyond that which they are familiar to face the wilds for glory, honor, or other reasons.
