For as long as you can remember, you've lived among the fey, raised as one of their own despite your mundane birth. Perhaps your mother made a bargain out of desperation, or your father crossed a powerful being, or your older sister willed you away by mistake; whatever the cause, you were taken from your cradle by a member of the fey, replaced with a facsimile before you were even old enough to learn or remember your birth family's name or status.

Touch of the Fey

Your upbringing in the Feywild has left its mark on you. Choose the physical change made by your adoptive home, or roll on the table below.

d6 Touch of the Fey
1 Slightly pointed ears
2 Eyes that seem to change color under certain light
3 Faint patterning on your skin (stripes, spots, etc.)
4 Sharp cuspid teeth, almost like small fangs
5 A subtle glow to your hair when hit by sun or moonlight
6 An ever-present glint of mischief in your eyes

Feature: Fey Sense

Your familiarity with the magical places of the world and the people who live their gives you special insight into how to find and navigate them. You are able to lead your companions through enchanted landscapes without getting lost, and you can easily find fey-touched places like fairy rings and entrances to the Feywild.

Your fey sense also allows you to find those of your kith, letting you feel the presence of nearby fey. You can use this draw to curry aid, shelter, or favor, but be warned; even among their own, the fey can be fickle tricksters when the mood suits them.

d8 Personality Trait
1 I have a special affinity for children. They haven't forgotten the inherent magic of wonder.
2 Time moves differently in the Feywild. I've gotten used to living fast and loose.
3 I'm uncomfortable in large cities and places that don't have much greenery.
4 My temper can change like the seasons--I go from warm as a summer breeze to cold as the dead of winter as easily as batting an eye.
5 You can learn a lot of things from flowers, if you sit a spell and pay attention.
6 I never use my real name with anyone, and instead have a few nicknames I use to introduce myself. Names have power and you never know who might use it against you.
7 I tend to over-analyze things people tell me, or promises they make. Words are easy to twist around.
8 I've never quite fit in, so I tend to imitate those around me wherever I go to make it easier.
d6 Ideal
1 Fun. What's the point of living if you can't have a good time? (Any)
2 Mischief. If there's one thing I've learned, it's the worth of a good prank. (Chaotic)
3 Power. The fey chose me; I deserve to be a cut above the rest. (Evil)
4 Joy. I found happiness with the fey, and I want to make others happy, too. (Good)
5 Nature. There's beauty and magic all around us. I want to keep it alive. (Neutral)
6 Fairness. A deal is a deal is a deal; you owe what you agree to give. (Lawful)
d6 Bond
1 The fey who raised me told me about my birth family. I hope to find them and learn more about where I come from.
2 I've never quite felt like I "fit in" with my adoptive family. I'd like to find somewhere I do.
3 My family means everything to me. I'd do anything to keep my home safe.
4 I serve the court of fey among which I was raised. My sovereign's wish is my command.
5 I made a promise to someone, and I intend to keep it, no matter the cost.
6 I am beholden to no one but myself. My freedom is my most treasured possession, and I'll keep it that way.
d6 Flaw
1 I am honest to a fault; I am literally incapable of lying.
2 I have trouble telling when it's time to take things seriously.
3 I tend to beat around the bush. It's hard for me to give a straight answer.
4 Any reward is worth the risk.
5 I have a compulsive need to count things. It's a force of habit.
6 I've been told I'm kind of a braggart. It's not my fault I'm so great!
