When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of information about a creature, if you do not know that information (Or isn't in your Bestiary), you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or basic observations. Your DM might rule, however, that the information you need is too difficult to obtain or discern.
