You have spent your life in the service of a demon or a pact. You act as an intermediary between the realm of the evil and the mortal world, performing sacred rites and offering sacrifices in order to bring power to your otherworldly patron. The common path to choose is Warlock,
Choose a demon, a pact, or some other patron, and work with your DM to detail the nature of your service. Were you a lesser-known temple searching for power, quietly plotting to take over others? Or were you a normal citizen who stumbled into a pact with a demon? Perhaps you were the leader of a small cult outside of any established temple structure or even an occult group that served a fiendish master that you betrayed for another.

As a Necromancer, you have trained in the area of necromancy. Your patron has shown you numerous ways to manipulate the life force of creatures. This results in the ability to life steal. Every time you kill any creature, you gain Xd4 (X being the creature level or CR) hit points.
Suggested Characteristics
Necromancers always have a trick up their sleeve. They never reveal their whole plot. As a consequence, their friends never know how to help or what to expect. They've also spent countless months on their own, so they have a twisted view of social etiquette. They will do anything that will give them power, and relish in the idea of suffering.
