You were always spited by someone. People would curse your name under their breath and others would suck up to you to avoid any dangerous fate. You may even have concealed your power to play the long game, or take control of something you so desperately wanted. One way or another however, you earned your power and sought to keep it at all costs. There are many names for you, dictator, ruler, menace, but a nice blanket term which perfectly sums you up is Tyrant. You are, or once were a being of immeasurable power. Be that power political, physical, magical, or something else. You love having control and presence over everything you want with nothing getting in your way. This ideal is portrayed through your various actions, mannerisms, and authority, to a point where everyone expects you to take over everything.
- Skill Proficiencies: Intimidation (You gain an extra proficiency depending on which background you choose)
- Tool Proficiencies: None
- Languages: One of your choice
- Equipment: A Diplomat's Pack, An Insignia (A design representing your position of power, a kingdom emblem, a magical symbol, etc), A golden pocket watch, fancy clothes worth 30 gold pieces, and a fancy bag containing 40 gold pieces
Everyone has a story of how they obtained their power. Sometimes it was through sheer will, sometimes it was a fateful event, and sometimes it feels that luck was on your side just telling you to become a ruler.

Contacts
In big cities of wealth and power, you will normally have a connection or some form of history with a noble or someone of wealth.
You lost your status, and have descended to the filthy rank of the commoner. This can happen due to an uprising, a tragic event, or you may have needed to hide your identity. Nevertheless you are stuck in this position and must find a way to satisfy yourself with what you have. You lose the Public Opinion feature and instead obtain the Bribery feature.
Bribery: With Bribery, you can bribe others to do anything you ask with enough convincing and payment. When you attempt to bribe others, make a Deception, Intimidation, or Persuasion roll. Each person you attempt to bribe must make a Insight (Wisdom) roll. If their roll is higher than your roll, they ignore your attempt and continue minding their business. If their roll is lower than your roll, they will listen with interest and accept the job you give them. The people you bribe will do the job to the best of their ability but still expect the full payment. You are free to back out of the arrangement through any means at any time. If the job is completed and you give the full payment, the people who were bribed will begin to treat you as a friend or trustworthy companion. If you back out of the arrangement, the people will not mention the bribery attempt to others, but will act hostile when they see you.
With your magic, you quickly found a way to power and wealth. Whether you seized that power or gave it to yourself, you learned that your greatest companion is yourself. Your belief plus your magic eventually lead to a solution, a way to perform any task you want with no repercussions. You lose the Public Opinion feature and instead gain a Hidden Companion.
Hidden Companion: With your Hidden Companion, you can perform any task you want without needing to lift a finger. The Hidden Companion can only be used once a day and will follow a single command (this command however can be anything ranging from murder to foraging), once the command is completed the Hidden Companion will disappear. The Hidden Companion must always take the form of a person, however you can change the Hidden Companion's look in anyway you want as long as it resembles some form of a person. Once the Hidden Companion has received its command, the command cannot be changed and the Hidden Companion cannot be retrieved until the command is complete. The Hidden Companion will also stop at nothing to complete the command, and it will perform various other actions if it helps in completing the command. Once the command is completed, no trace of the command can be linked back to you. When you take a long rest, you regain your use of the Hidden Companion.
