When in combat or overcome by certain emotions the thin sheen dragon-like scales, that cover parts of your body, begin to harden and change colour becoming visible to other people. when the scales harden you get a +1 AC when not wearing armor. Additionally you get a breath weapon and resistance to what corresponds with your Draconic Ancestry, eg. if you choose a your ancestry to be a Gold Dragon, you get a Fire breath weapon and you will also take half damage when attacked with fire based damage.
