You were brought to an orphanage as a baby, your parents couldn't take care of your or it was too dangerous for you to be born. You were adopted by a loving noble family. 

 
Skill Proficiencies: You have proficiency in Insight, as you have to always be a bit on your toes around your adopted world, being of a different race than them. You also choose between Persuasion or Intimidation, because of your noble education. 
Tool Proficiencies: You were taught one tool, trade or game as a child, as part of your education. You can choose this one freely. 
Languages: You know the language of your adopted parents. If they are Human and thus speak Common, you get to choose one from the list. You know an additional language you get to choose from the list, because of your education or certain happenings in your pre-adventuring life, perhaps a befriended messenger from a far away land or enemies come for your lands.
Equipment: You have a set of fine clothes, a gaming set (of your own choosing), a small trinket belonging to your family, and a purse containing 25gp.
