You were created for destruction, gifted with Iron fists and silver spiked shields you were unstoppable. You were a mindless killing machine until one day you were hit with a confusion spell and you had a mind. You could think for yourself and you didn’t want this. That’s when your master sold you to a village who needed protecting, you couldn’t be a killing machine if you didn’t want to kill. Right when he dropped you off you walked away from the tower since they couldn’t do anything about it. You spent 2 years on the road, usually making camps in the forest deciding to use only shields so that you didn’t have to hurt the innocent if they attacked. Along the way you picked up on a few skills.
- Skill Proficiencies: Your Proficient in: Survival and Animal Handling
- Tool Proficiencies: You Learned How To Use A Healers Hit and learned how to play the flute.
- Languages: You Only Knew Common Until You Met A Human Who Taught You [Any Language]
- Equipment: You don’t need clothes or a backpack since you just store your things inside of you. You left with absolutely nothing and did jobs for money along the way, you start with 129 GP and that’s it.
You Learned So Many Skills Along The Road, At Level 1,5,10 and 15 You Gain A Extra Feat. If Any Feat is used apon another Warforged and injures or kills it, You Never Want To Use That Feat Again Unless Your Memory Is Wiped From The Encounter. These feats also must be used for defence, if anything Helps you in attacking only you loose the fear. You may use neutral things like lucky.
[Sheild Feat]
After changing shields twice in a day, if you use any other weapon your shield points shoot down to 0 and if your arnt carful, they could break
You can change your shield 6 times a day, when it hits 0 and you arnt using the normal shields, they instantly break.
You can change a shield using a reaction or bonus action, if you use it for a full action your stupid.
When turning back into 2 shields everything turns back to normal
you also master the art of shields and can turn it into 4 different forms when using 2 shields
Offensive
Ypu Shield shifts and the spikes go to the side, and the shield shifts into a sharp pointy shield. Your normal spiked shield gives 1d6 +SM base damage. Now it does 1d8 +Strength Mod and whatever AC the shield gives us added to that. This also means you loose any AC gained from this shield until turned back. This gives you -1 to all saving throws until turned back and your initiative is +1 but suffer a minus 1 until a long rest is made.
Defensive Shield
along the way of the shield, you found a way to combine your shields into one and can make it a large heavy shield, one no one has ever seen. It covers your whole front side and gives you +3 AC and gives you a +1 to strength saving throws. The disadvantages is that your base walking speed is reduced to 5 and you can’t see what’s in front of you, this also attaches to 2 of your arms. This also does -2 to initiative but you can’t do anything anyways so it doesn't matter. You also can’t cast spells
Charge Sheild
your shields shape into a weird square shape and the spikes grow bigger. You give an extra AC and your damage goes to 1d6+1 but you go dead last every time you use it, and I’d surprised or if you have disadvantage. You have a -2 to all saving throws, and all of your skills are also -2 until you change shields. While using this shield you can’t cast spells.
The normal spiked duel shields
These are the 2 spiked shields that they started with. They don’t do much but if you somehow get to attack twice before being attacked you go a dice higher then what it should be. 1d4 to 1d6. 1d6 to 1d8. 1d8 to 1d10. 1d10 to 1d12. 1d12 to 1d20 only with duel shields. When you get the added dice you also suffer -1 to all saving throws and a -1 to initiative until the attack is over.
Suggested Characteristics
You have a few bad things that happened to you along the way giving you this personality. If you become friends with me I will be overprotective. If the topic we are doing is boring, I will do something else so that I can have fun. Whenever I see a fox I want it. And I am not the smartest and can be easily tricked into fighting the wrong people. The last one is that you know what you are, you were made to kill and save. Whenever a opportunity arises where someone will die, you will do anything, even sacrificing yourself for them. You never let a man die. If you do you will suffer from craziness and for the next 1d6 days, you will have depression, confusion and you will not be able to do anything

Posted Jul 12, 2024Ok, it is overpowered for a background, but that is ok. You can get the Warforged race to fulfill your robot needs. As for the massive power boosts that the feats provide, I would suggest talking to your dm about what exactly you want to achieve with this build. Some of the fixes might be as simple as reflavoring some features or giving you some cool magic items which count as "modifications" to your robot body or something. There is a lot of freedom with this, have fun!
