The monastery has been your life for as long as you can remember. You trained as a youth, studied the use of Martial arts, learned basic survival techniques, including how to stay alive in the world. You might have been part of the High Council or a simple student,

When you choose this background, work with your DM to determine which monastery organization you were a part of, how far through its ranks you progressed, and what kind of experiences you had during your time.

You have a certain aura from your time in your Monastery. Lore Masters and Wizards will recognize your power, and they defer to you as if you were a minor Diety. You can invoke your status to exert influence over Lore Masters to requisition simple equipment or horses for temporary use and directions to nearby masters.
