Night watch

You were once a privet guard assigned to be a Watchman in the night. Who you were working for was often of importance in the public eye or perhaps a Wizard with many secrets to protect. In some cases you may have stepped in for the city guard to prevent smugglers from sneaking into town in the late hours in the night. Regardless of were you've worked you have an eye for finding shadowy figures and trespassers in the night and have been trained to detect liars and nervous tics. 

As to why you left the Night Watch you were a part of is up to you. Perhaps your employer has died or maybe you were a part of a company that hires out to those with money or power who feel the need for protection or you've finally retired.

Skill Proficiencies:  Perception and Insight.

Languages: You know two additional languages due to working with and for all sorts of people.

Equipment: You have one easily concealed weapon for which you are proficient. Chose one: a dagger, a club, a mace or a short sword.

A pair of manacles and a horn to summon help.

A Night Watch uniform consisting of: a shirt, pair of pants, boots, gloves and a jacket or cloak with the symbol of your former employer or company.

A small spy glass.

A pouch containing 10 gold pieces.

1	I can stare down a hell hound without flinching.
2	I am used to staying up all night and sleeping all day, and for your information no, I'm not a vampire.
3	I am always vigilant and ready for action, nobody's getting past me.
4	Day or night whenever I meet someone I always say good morning. I really don't care what time it is.
5	I hate being out and about at night, I'd rather be cooped up in a watch tower or crows nest.
6	I take my work seriously and I treat others with the utmost respect so long as they aren't criminals.
7	Smugglers, thieves heck even pirates. If I catch you breaking the law I will punch you in the face.
8	I always have a story of some incredibly dumb break-in or a bunch of smugglers who just didn't plan things well.

1	(Lawful.) I will preserve the peace, anyone who breaks the law should be punished.
2	(Chaotic.) So long as the money is good I'll keep just about anyone safe.
3	(Evil.) I work for whoever will pay me the most, and last I checked smugglers pay pretty well to keep people quiet.
4	(Good.) I don't care if your part of the common folk or a wealthy noble, people deserve to feel safe at night.
5	(Neutral.) I'll get my work done as well as I can but please, just let my get some sleep.

1	I've been a part of a unit for so long I considered the people I worked with family. They tought me many things but the most important thing I learned was you don't need to share a language if you want to protect something.
2	I've met people who were at the lowest a person's life could get. I'm always drawn to those who simply need a second chance at life. Who knows, if I'm willing to help maybe they won't turn to crime in the first place.
3	I'm always looking out for others. Someone saved my life once on a job that went wrong and to this day I always look out for my companions.
4	The many friends I've made while in the watch are people are I'd die for.
5	I've met a number of people wrongly accused of crimes and imprisoned with nothing but false witness against them. To this day I'll never judge people by how they look.
6	I was once a part of an inside job. To this day I feel nothing but regret and shame for not stopping a crime I easily could have prevented.

d6	Flaw
1	I'm prone to falling asleep at seemingly random but mostly inconvenient times.
2	I tend to punch first and ask questions later. It's the only effective way to fight crime.
3	I suspect everyone of being a thief.
4	I secretly steal things from the people who hire me.
5	Whenever I see danger I run a way and come up with a convenient excuse for it later.
6	I'm a chatterbox who is always distracted and is very distracting. Some times I do it intentionally.
