You are a member of the Dread Watch, an evil organization bent on overtaking over Chult for the powerful sorcerer Acererak. Acererak isn't actually a part of this organization, he is just the *god* that everybody looks up to. You always have affiliates in cities so long as there is some area they can meet up. Those who are part of this organization know this phrase by heart, "The Dread is always watching."
- Skill Proficiencies: Perception, Stealth
- Tool Proficiencies: One dice set, Disguise kit
- Equipment: A crowbar, a set of dark common clothes including a hood with a special insignia recognizable only to members of the Dread Watch, and a pouch containing 15 gp
Dread Watchers are usually assigned roles depending on their capabilities but you can always just pick a role that you may not be 100% suited for since you can always swap around.
| d8 | Role |
|---|---|
| 1 | Smuggler |
| 2 | Burglar |
| 3 | Enforcer |
| 4 | Fence |
| 5 | Siege Bandit |
| 6 | Hired killer |
| 7 | Scout |
| 8 | Man on the Inside |
You have many reliable and trustworthy contacts in cities who can give you info about the place you are in and any rumors going about. You know that there are always people ready to help a fellow Dread Watcher at a moments notice. Once every day you can call out for help and, after 2 combat rounds, an acolyte along with a skeleton under the acolytes control will come to assist you in any way they can for up to an hour before getting tired and leaving. The signal is made through a telepathic bond between you and your superior that only lets you send one message per day.
Suggested Characteristics
Most Dread Watchers are chaotic and love destruction but there are also some who aren't for the destruction of Chult and instead want to have a good faith for help. All Dread Watchers are bent towards the neutral to evil side of things.

You are one of the many that hide out in sewers and wait for any other Dread Watchers to signal you or to help with smuggling processes going into Chult. You can still call for others to help you but if you ever receive a signal, you are expected to also assist.
If there are any signals that go off in the town that you are in you are required to go it unless there is something in the way in which case you must tell your superior about it as soon as you can. Most of the time there won't be any signals but if one does ever occur you must treat it with the same importance as a city alarm. When you get a signal it will be your superior telling you where it came from and how much urgency and caution is required.
