You can easily find room and board on the road in areas with farmland. Other farmers will trust you, and help feed any mounts in a pinch. If you're a rancher, you might know all the stops on a cattle drive path. If you're a farmer, you know some of the roads between your farm and the market, as well as knowing storefronts and other buyers of food.
