As a member of the Embersworn Alliance you have vowed to do all you can to stop the encroachment of the Winter King in the lands of Esworn. While the Embersworn Alliance's golden age has seemed to have passed centuries ago there are still a few that fight to keep the lands safe from the creatures of frost and snow. By joining their numbers you have entered into a war that has been raging for centuries against forces that can freeze the very breath in your lungs.

- Equipment: An Embersworn emblem (either a signet ring or patch), 5 pints of oil, Flint and Steel and a pouch containing 15 gold
You have taken the first steps in a long journey and have been blessed by the Ritual of inner Flames. You gain the ability to cast Create Bonfire as a cantrip; the duration of this spell is extended to 8 hours with no need for concentration. You can only have one such bonfire in existence at a time. At 5th level you gain the ability to cast Continual Flame with no need for a material component; once you use this ability you cannot do so again until after completing a long rest.
Suggested Characteristics
Members of the Embersworn have usual been on the wrong end of a creature of cold. You may have been attacked by a mage wielding ice magic, run across a Winter Wolf while out hunting or even trapped in a terrible blizzard that cost you someone you loved. While this is not an absolute it is rare for someone that has not been scarred by the Winter Kings minions to join the Embersworn as membership is a lifelong commitment.
