From your occult studies, you have learned how to manipulate magic just as some great spell casters do. You are able to use or manipulate magic. If you can already cast magic, you can instead of having to use either Somatic, Verbal, or Material, you are able to take a ritual to not have to use one of these requirement. It is a one hour ritual and can only be once per day, but the effect lasts all day. If you cannot cast magic, you learn the cantrips poison spray, minor illusion, and chill touch. You use Charisma when casting and have a Charisma DC of 11 for your spells always. If a creature succeeds on that saving through they take no damage.
Suggested Characteristics
You may study in search of something that you morn, or in some cases you know that what you're doing is dark and usually cruel, and that's why you do it. All of the things you do are for one goal and one goal only.
Your deity didn't bring you what you needed at the time you needed it, or some other issue that lead you to leave your church and turned to occult magic to get retribution for time spent worshipping the "false idol". You are still known by the other churchgoers, but they know not of your turn to the things that they spite most.
