You are a user of magic, and, in a world that is slowly falling apart from plague, your skills have become invaluable. In an effort to utilize the skills you and others possess the Valent monarchy has instituted a levy requiring all magic users to register themselves. You are not a conscript, on paper the only consequence of not registering is that people may see you as lazy or selfish, there are no legal ramifications whatsoever. On paper. Registered Magic Users tend to run the gamut of people who genuinely wish to help to those who act out of duty to their Queen, to those who didn't want to be run out of town for refusing.

Feature: Friend to the Hares
Ask anybody who the authority is on the Human Coast and they'll probably tell you it's the Hares. This semi-religious order of peace-keepers have become the default authority for any of Valent's colonies, even spilling into the plague ravaged hills of Vyrm and the baking empty deserts of Old Corona. Having the support of such a well connected and powerful group is sure to benefit any adventurer. Using your Friend to the Hares feature you may call upon any group of Hares to provide you with information, aid, and even protection if the circumstances are correct. They may even shield you from other authorities like the law, as long as it doesn't put them in the direct line of danger.
Spell List
Registered Magic Users are expected to know at least one healing spell, otherwise they are of no use when it comes to keeping those suffering alive and comfortable. If no healing spells are known it is not unheard of for the magic user to be taught Spare the Dying by knowledgeable hares or other Registered Magic Users in their company.
Suggested Characteristics
Registered Magic Users tend to be people pulled from all walks of life, with very little defining them on the whole. However, each and every one of them finds themselves working with those suffering from the Silvered Plague, and working under the yoke of the Hares and the Valent Monarchy, and so in this way they do find themselves unified.
