The half-elf student sat in his bedchambers, scribbling furiously into his journal. He was so close to discovering the secrets of the ancient Draconic journal he had discovered, but he must speak the language. He took a breath then started scribbling even faster, his hand flying across the pages in an attempt to learn the crude language.
The stout dwarf smiled to herself, looking at her new creation; vials of acidic materials capable of melting down even glass. Of course, her smile was one of accomplishment; for sure, her new acidic creation would be just the thing she'd need!
The tiefling read the tome precariously, picking apart the hellish language in an attempt to gain the knowledge of the book. The book told of an ancient deity, capable of even the most heinous atrocities without even batting an eye. It spoke of it's downfall, but also a prophecy of which it could rise again. She recognized a symbol inscribed on the deity's stomach; the Old Faith symbol's for "Hunger." Her spine shuddered with timidity, but she alerted her party of the possible threat to their very existence.
