Devote followers of one of the mighty Dragon gods, they are blessed with draconic might and an unfaltering will power. These divine advocates are taught that there is no life without death, no creation without destruction, that only through the cleansing flame can that which is cancerous be purged and healthy renewal become possible. Their tenants demand passion in all aspects of life. Burn bright and true for as long as one can. Meet corruption with strength and purging flame. Greet life and love with burning passion. And only through the ashes of deception can the truth be revealed.
You have spent your life in the service of a temple to Ignathrax, Dragon god of the primal flame. You act as an intermediary between the realm of the holy and the mortal world, performing sacred rites and offering sacrifices in order to conduct worshipers into the presence of the divine. You are not necessarily a cleric—performing sacred rites is not the same thing as channeling divine power.
At the same time battle is a way of life within the temples of Ignathrax. For as long as you care to remember you have trained and studied the use of weapons and armor, learned basic survival techniques, including how to stay alive on the battlefield. This is simply the way of an Initiate of Ignathrax.

As an initiate of Ignathrax, you command the respect of those who share your faith, and hold a military rank within your order. You are recognized for your authority and are sanctioned to perform the religious ceremonies of Ignathrax. You and your adventuring companions can expect to receive free healing and care at a temple, shrine, or other established presence of your faith, though you must provide any material components needed for spells. Those who share your religion will support you (but only you) at a modest lifestyle.
You might also have ties to a specific temple dedicated to Ignathrax or perhaps one of his major militaristic orders, and you have a residence there or amongst them. This could be the temple or order where you used to serve, if you remain on good terms with it, or a temple/order where you have found a new home. While near your temple/order, you can call upon the priests and knights for assistance, provided the assistance you ask for is not overly hazardous and you remain in good standing with your temple/order.
Your military rank also brings you some merit. Soldiers loyal to your temple and military organization still recognize your authority and influence, and they defer to you if they are of a lower rank. You can invoke your rank to exert influence over other soldiers and initiates so as to requisition simple equipment or horses for temporary use. You can also usually gain access to friendly religious military encampments and fortresses where your rank is recognized.

The horrors of Battle combined with the rigid discipline of military service leave their mark as well, further shaping their ideals, creating strong bonds, and often leaving them scarred and vulnerable to hatred, hidden hypocrisy or heretical idea, or an ideal or bond taken to an extreme.
