Punchy Image

It's round five and for the majority of the match you've almost been toying with your opponent, but weirdly enough he know has you on the ropes. He's got you on your heels and out of the corner you can watch the timer tick away, waiting for the right time. Suddenly your hit on the chin and down you go, out for the count. The crowd erupts, a bit for the love of the sport but mostly because the majority just lost a lot of cash cause you just got beat by some nobody. No skin off your nose though, you and your crew just made quite the hefty haul betting on the other guy and nobody is the wiser for it. Sure this may not be the most sportsmanlike thing to do, but who cares your pocketbook is heavier for it.

But a little recognition would be nice, and there is a small part of you that really wants that title.

Skill Proficiencies: Intimidation, Performance
Tool Proficiencies: Healers kit (herbalism)
Languages: One other language
Equipment: A healers kit, hand wraps, overcoat with your fighters name embroidered on the back, and a pouch containing 15 gp

Feature: Ring Sense

Having spent your fair share of time in the fight scene, you always know just where to go or the right questions to ask to find the local "less than legal" scene. You've also gained the knack for reading the crowd and can usually pick out the best fighters to bet on and which ones are the longshots to target for your scam. You gain advantage on performance checks to be "knocked out" during a bout.

Suggested Characteristics

To succeed as a punchy, you have to have some skill in the ring, but most importantly you have to look and act the part of the heavy favorite. Some are just big brutes, some tend to be strong and stoic, and others are loudmouth trash talkers like no other. No matter their success throwing fights and rigging the bets, almost all of us have that point where they can't help but botch the scam because who wants to be the loser all of the time.
