Both your Mom’s have worked in IT all their lives.  One manages IT at a big tech company and another is their electrical engineer.  You grew up getting sent to coding camp and volunteering at your elementary’s computer lab.  You’ve learned the ins and outs of most everyday technologies and you’ve taken apart your fair share of them as well.

Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency with insight, as your stand in for learned technological know how.  When rolling insight to use technology or remember knowledge about technology roll with expertise.
Tool Proficiencies: You gain a tinkerer’s kit.  Be it a small rolled container of screws and pins or a fully stocked repair kit, you’ve got what you need for basic computers, your phone, and maybe a security system or two...who’s to say?
Languages: You gain the language of C++ but that doesn’t really help in D&D so I guess you’re shit out of luck!
Equipment: At your home or current base you have access to a lab or workspace.  For you, that’s the garage!

Feature: “I can probably do that...”

When it comes to things tech-y you’ve got the know how to make it happen, or at least look up a wiki on it. Need a custom application installed on your phone, you can do that.  Friends need a remote tracker built, yeah sure you can do that.  Need to make contact via the dark web, probably...

As long as the task/item is not too technologically advanced you can get it done.  As with anything in life it requires time and money.  Unless you’re just downloading a simple file it’ll take time.  If you need specific parts or items, it’s gonna cost you.

Suggested Characteristics

You are you!  Congratulations!
