Halflings are known for their kind and generous natures. You are living proof of this, for one reason or another a Halfling couple raised you as their own even though you are not of their race. Perhaps they knew your parents or maybe they adopted you from an orphanage, they may have even found you alone in the woods. Your Ma and Pa have never treated you as different except when they need to and you are part of a large loving family.
Obviously Halflings can not take this background.
- Skill Proficiencies: Perception and Stealth
- Tool Proficiencies: Cooking utensils
- Languages: Halfling
- Equipment: A stout walking stick made to size, a home cooked meal from your Ma, Travelers clothes, a family recipe, pouch containing 10 gp.
You know the customs of most if not all Halflings and they find it interesting that one of the big people know their tongue. They will often open their homes to you and your friends as long as you have no ill intentions and do not bring danger to their door. They can provide you with a place to rest and food.

Posted Mar 7, 2021This is more or less what I did for the backstory of my Kobold Wizard, a few differences of course, as he didn't grow up with halflings but was instead taken in, but it was his first real home. I didn't know of this at the time so I chose the far traveller background, but from a backstory standpoint this was something I could have used.
