The Varanids are a proud warrior religion who believe that only through combat can the world evolve. In ancient times, they would constantly seek war with all other surrounding kingdoms and races in search of honor and glory. However, due to the rest of the world seeing them as troublesome, multiple kingdoms gathered together to finish them once and for all. The Lizardfolk were driven out of their homes in the swamps and have since been scattered across the land. Through the struggle, the Varanid religion managed to survive among the few Lizardfolk who survived their purge. They pass their religion to their young and are given a title as a Varanid from a young age, this religion has even spread to a few other races who chose to follow their beliefs and bear the symbol and or title of a Varanid. The path of a Varanid is not an easy one, but a glorious one indeed. As a Varanid you must live by a strict set of rules. You may not speak to anyone who isn't a Varanid or a Dragon, this includes writing on paper. You must always bear your symbol somewhere on your person that is visible to others. Your name always begins with "Varanus" followed by your personal title. As a Varanid, you must always honor and respect Dragons. If you are to kill a Dragon, you are to honor the Dragon's death by taking a tooth and keep it on your person at all times or wear it as a necklace. Lastly, you are never to engage in combat with other Varanids, the only exception to this rule is if one of them has broken their code and lost their right to call themselves a Varanid.

- Languages: If you do not already speak Draconic, you gain Draconic as a language.
- Equipment: You gain access to any martial weapon of your choice, however you must be proficient in using said weapon to take advantage of this.
You are part of the Varanid religion. You are primarily a mercenary who spends most of your days taking jobs from various sources such as guilds, employers or even personal endeavors. Varanids are most commonly known nowadays for monster hunting jobs.
