You are an able physician, a doctor. Your job is to diagnose what is wrong with a patient, and to balance the humors in order to restore him to good health. You can be rather hampered by not knowing what is happening inside the body. So a physician becomes very good at investigating clues they can observe from the outside (and secreted from the inside). Rashes, bruises, urine, blood and excrement can all be useful in making a diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is made, you know various cures, most of which you prepare yourself. When a Cleric is not available, a physician is an ordinary person’s best hope of relief from an illness. Because physicians see different people with various illnesses each day, most have a huge knowledge of the body and herbal remedies.

Suggested Characteristics
People become physicians for many reasons, and motivations also may change as an individual matures, but in most cases it boils down to this: they become physicians because they want to be able to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people. Some people have a special facility for applied science. Some are helped by a physician, and decide they would like to become a physician themselves. There are, also, plenty of people in medicine who have a physician in the family. Sometimes people become physicians because it’s a well-respected field with which most people have a passing familiarity. And sometimes people decide to become physicians because of the money.
