You have spent much time as the Royal Bard, entertaining the court and also acting as the adviser to the king (or queen) and their immediate family. You know how to quickly assess any person approaching the Royal Personage and can, by your immediate choice of music, advise your judgement of the approaching person. Your music raises the spirits of the entire court, gives warning of possible problems or even assists in mourning when appropriate. Your entire routine is centered around providing the best entertainment and assistance to the Royal Personage, the Royal Family and the entire Royal Court. After training your apprentice, you have decided to leave the court and roam the land, performing for all types of people of all levels of society.

You can always find a place to perform, especially in any sort of court, whether that be a royal court or a noble's court. At such a place, you receive free lodging and food of a wealthy or aristocratic standard (depending on the quality of the establishment), as long as you perform each night. In any other place, as soon as you are recognized as a Royal Court Bard, you are offered (for free) the best lodgings, food and drink in the house, again as long as you perform each night. In addition, your performance and reputation make you something of a celebrity. When you are recognized in a town where you have performed, they typically take a liking to you.
