Church Of Selibrias Plague Inquisitor Image

In the dark lands of Varind, the Church of Selibrias, God of Inevitable Death, performs many functions, most notably the care of the sick and dying and tending to the graves of the deceased. In the times since the Varindian Beast Plague and the rise of the Cult of Eyes, however, new agents of the church were required. The formation of the Plague Inquisition heralded a new era for the shattered church in these lands, where the great plagues rendered the corpses of the dead into ferocious, twisted abominations. The plague inquisitors scour the lands of Varind, seeking to treat the plague-ridden, and hunt down the cultists who continue their dark work in secret.

The average Plague Inquisitor is dark of demeanor, and highly focused on investigation, tracking, and knowledge. They carry the ingredients for both salves of healing for those afflicted by disease, and potent toxins with which to dispose of those who the plague has transformed into abominations.

As a Plague Inquisitor, your work has brought you into frequent contact with the Varindian Plague and the Cult of Eyes, those driven mad by the strange powers that now dwell in Varind. These madmen claim to be privy of great and terrible knowledge, and view the transformative plague as a blessing. In your work, you have come to be inexorably linked with plague and madness, though you may not be mad yourself.

Those stricken by supernatural madness and plague feel a natural connection with you. They may see you as a "fellow traveller", or simply be strangely compelled by your presence. They may attempt to garner your favor, and may be easier to influence should you humor them.
