Suggested Characteristics

Tavern cooks are usually more easy-going than their court-dwelling brethern (though some may have become hardened after many years of thankless work, depending on the tavern), and are also more at ease in the loud and boisterous atmosphere a busy tavern often displays. Use the tables below to help decide how your time serving the common-folk has is shown in your personaility.

d8 Personality Trait
1 Years spent in a tavern has made me exceptionally quick-witted.
2 I prefer to stay in the kitchen, rather than interact with the tavern's patrons.
3 I take great pride in my fare, and always go the extra mile to make sure it is perfect.
4 I like to talk at great length about anything food related.
5 I seem gruff on the outside, but I'm actually a big softie.
6 My kitchen, my rules. I do not tolerate horseplay in the kitchen.
7 I often grow bored with common food, and try to spice things up as much as possible.
8 I prefer the hustle and bustle of busy tavern, and find it hard to relax if it's too quiet.

2 Generosity. I'll never let someone go hungry. (Good)
3 Daring. You'll never discover new flavours without taking a few risks. (Chaotic)
4 Power. You hear many things in a tavern. Some could be bad for others if it got out. (Evil)
5 People. The customer knows best, and it is my duty to satisfy them. (Neutral)
6 Aspiration. I'm always trying to improve my skills as a cook. (Any)
d6 Bond
1 The tavern where I grew up is the most important place in the world to me.
2 If you like to eat my food, we're going to get along great.

6 I learned to cook to secure someone's love.
d6 Flaw

2 I get highly offended if someone doesn't like my food.
3 I am highly critical of any food served to me. This sometimes gets me in trouble.
4 My time in the tavern has given me an inappropriate sense of humour.
5 I have a bad habit of not knowing my limits when it comes to alcohol.
6 Cooking in a busy tavern has made me a bit scatterbrained.
