You have been terrorized by one or more individuals over the course of your childhood/adolescence. These people have beaten you down both mentally and physically. It could have been a parent, step parent, guardian, sibling, neighbor, classmate, or neighborhood tough but the words did hurt. The criticism could have been justified or fabrication, but it still stuck with you. You got free from their influence and made good for yourself, but the little voice of inferiority is still heard sometimes. You have become hyper alert to any criticism. As well as acquiring the ability to blend in and go unnoticed to avoid certain situations.

They may remember you or not. They are the cause of your internal strife. Perhaps you hate them, perhaps you have forgiven them, but you will never forget them and the things they put you through. Any encounter with them can put you off your game, sometimes for days afterward. When interacting with them, you have a 50% chance of being intimidated by them; regardless of the progress you feel you may have made. Being intimidated can take the form of disadvantage on saves, attack rolls, and/or skill checks. Not being intimidated can take the form of advantage on those same rolls. The check must be made upon each meeting more than 12 hours apart.
