You may have grown up in one of the merchant caravans working the trade routes to the Dwarves, or Gnomes. You may have been an apprentice or squire to an adventurer who spent a lot of time seeking long forgotten treasures in deep, dark, places. Regardless, you spent much of your formative years in the Underdark, and the wilderness to and from civilization. You learned to not only survive. You learned to thrive.
- Skill Proficiencies: Select two from: Investigation, Perception, Stealth, or Survival.

- Languages: Select one from: Abyssal, Deep Speech, Draconic, Dwarvish, Gnomish, Goblin, Orc, or Undercommon
You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, caverns, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, mushrooms, small game, water, and so forth.
Suggested Characteristics
You understand that the unknown things in the dark are far more deadly than what the common villagers tell their children to make them behave. You have learned to sleep lightly, and to rely on everyone in your group, as there is safety in numbers in the Underdark. Civilized folk are always a bit nervous around you. They are uncomfortable with how you never let down your guard, and always seem at the ready to defend yourself. The Underdark has left its mark on you, and it can clearly be seen by others.
