You lived in a wild clan, somewhere in the woods, in the tundra, in the desert, or on some desolate island. Most of your time, you have spent tending to your own survival and that of the clan. Rarely have you ever met people from civilization, and when you have, they usually see you as the enemy or as an object to study.

Task in the Clan

What is your task in the clan? When you pick or roll on this table, think about what kind of characteristics would make you particularly good at this task. Also consider whether you like this task or not, since this could lead to interesting role playing moments.

d8 Task in the Clan
1 I am a guard who protects the clan from intruders.
2 I am a hunter and gatherer, sustaining the clan.
3 I am a nurse or a caregiver, tending to the old, wounded, pregnant, and newborn children of the clan.
4 I am a leader or strategic planner, giving advice and orders on long-form clan wide decisions.
5 I am a diplomat or trader with connections to nearby civilizations.
6 I am a medic or a truth bearer, who has insight into difficult and very specific questions.
7 I am a crafts person, making tools and constructing housing for my clan.
8 I am a green-foot, still finding my way in the tribe.

Feature: One with nature

Your life in the wild clan has made you one with nature and one with each other. You notice trails of animals, the scent of food, the sound of water, and even signs of diseases way faster than people from the civilization, and you have an intuitive understanding of what to do about each of those.

Suggested Characteristics

Some clan members are well suited to a life far from society, whereas some chafe against it and long for the life in the city. In either case, your ideals and world view are heavily impacted by your clan and by nature, and leaving this behind can have another impact all by itself.
