You are a Sorcerer, a child of the wild magic that seems to run in your family. You have spent your younger years in the service of a powerful Sorcerer, who took you in as a young child to teach you to harness and use the power that flows within you.. You have grown in knowledge, and you are just beginning to understand the wild magics that seem at times ready to boil your very blood. Now, it seems, your power has grown to a place where your patron can no longer abide with you in close proximity, due to the way your magics are interacting, and you have been sent out on a quest with the hopes that you will gain control of the power within you. Your patron has insisted that you do not return until this quest has been fulfilled.
- Skill Proficiencies: History, Nature
- Tool Proficiencies: You have the knowledge of Alchemist's Supplies, a Herbalism Kit or a Poisoner's Kit. You are also proficient with a simple musical instrument, which you use to concentrate and gain control over the wild magics that boil within you.
- Languages: Two of your choice
- Equipment: An Arcane Focus given to you by your patron (something considered precious and representing the relationship you had), 5 sticks of incense, a set of common clothes, a dagger, another simple weapon, such as a light crossbow, and a pouch containing 15 gp.
Feature: Apprentice
As an apprentice, you carry with you the power and prestige of your patron, who is well known in the world in which you travel. You are a representative of your patron, and anything you do may reflect upon the reputation of your patron. You must choose to remain loyal to your patron, or to rebel against your teacher, depending on the type of relationship you had with each other. In either case, until you have begun to develop a reputation of your own, the name of your patron will grant you certain privileges when interacting with the world into which you have wandered.
Suggested Characteristics
Apprentices are shaped by their experiences with their master. Their study of the history and the natural world affect their mannerisms and ideals. Their flaws might be some hidden resentment of their patron, or an uncontrollable desire to rebel and grow in their own direction, or an ideal or bond taken to an extreme.
