Base Class: Ranger

When wars amongst the mightiest of all finish and the world returns to a state of peace the people no longer have need for their protectors to guard them all. These heroes go to rest until the world once more requires them and their actions and the wars they fought have faded to myths.
These Ancient Heroes rise from their tombs, their past clouded and a new world around them. They sharpen their skills to prepare for what must be coming, for surely they would not have been awoken if there was not a threat against what they stand for?

Calming Presence

At 3rd level, your heroic presence calms those who fear, because they know you will protect them. You can use an action to cast the Heroism spell at the highest spell slot you have without using a spell slot. Once you've used this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Guardian Spirit

Starting at 3rd level, a spiritual guide associated with you appears and joins you on your quest.
You learn the Find Familiar spell and can cast it as a ritual. The spell doesn’t count against your number of Spells known.

Combat Magic

At 7th level, you master the use of magic in combat. When you use your action to cast a 1st level spell, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.

Aura of Warding

At 11th level, your returning powers protect you and nearby allies from magical attacks. Ancient magic lies so heavily upon you that it forms an eldritch ward. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to damage from spells while you are conscious.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

A Link to the Past

At 15th level, your memories of your past life start to return to you slowly. You feel an absence in your mind, a connection with a weapon of legends that used to rest in your hands, and you long to fill the empty spot.
You can now attune to up to four, rather than three, magic items at a time. The fourth slot can only be used by a Legendary or Artifact weapon that you are proficient with.
