Base Class: Artificer
The Apothecary focuses on the art of mixing and brewing natural ingredients to produce magical substances. Given sufficient time and resources, an Apothecary can ensure their allies are able to survive even the most dangerous wounds. Having an Apothecary along on an adventure ensures that the party never lacks for balms and restorations.
Tool Proficiency
3rd-level Apothecary feature
You gain proficiency with alchemist’s supplies and herbalism kits. If you already have proficiency with either or both of these items, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.
Apothecary Spells
3rd-level Apothecary feature
You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Apothecary Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Beneficial Brew
3rd-level Apothecary feature
When casting any single-target spell granted by your Apothecary Spells feature, you can choose to imbue that spell's effect into an empty flask you touch. The spell becomes a concentrated liquid, similar to a potion. As an action, a creature can drink the brew or administer it to an incapacitated creature. If a spell requires dice to be rolled to determine its effect, make the dice roll at the time the spell is cast.
Creating a beneficial brew requires you to have alchemist’s supplies or herbalism kit on your person, and any brew you create with this feature lasts until it is drunk or until the end of your next short rest.
Aromatic Alchemy
5th-level Apothecary feature
You've learned to mix an aerosolizing agent into your potions without degrading their effectiveness. As a bonus action, you can throw one of your Beneficial Brews at a target up to 30 feet from you, causing the flask to smash on the ground and release a cloud of restorative vapors. Due to the short duration of the aerosolizing agent, only you can throw Beneficial Brews in such a way. Anyone else using your Brews must still drink or administer them normally.
Vital Vapors
9th-level Apothecary feature
You can choose to vaporize one of your beneficial brews into a powerful restorative gas, far more concentrated and effective than those produced by your aromatic alchemy. When you administer a brew to yourself or another creature, you can choose to have that brew affect all creatures within a 5-foot radius. These empowered brews can also be thrown up to 15 feet. The restorative effect is unable to discriminate, so be cautious of healing your foes as well as your friends. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
You can now imbue the effect of multi-target Apothecary spells into your brews. When doing so, choose targets for the spell only when the brew is used. If the brew was thrown, the range of the effect is measured from the site of impact. Effects which are determined by die rolls still have their dice rolled when the brew is created.
Curative Catalyst
15th-level Apothecary feature
You can use an action to administer a potent catalyst to any creature you are able to touch. For the next minute, all healing the target receives from any source is increased by a total amount equal to the sum of your Intelligence modifier and their Constitution modifier (minimum 1). Once a creature has benefitted from this effect, they cannot do so again until they finish a long rest. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
