Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Uen is a god of death, yes, but more so the god of the dead, and the stories they lived. His is a creed that believes in the power of memory above all else, often more than the protection or restoration of the lives themselves. Instead, they are scribes recording the deeds of heroes young and old, gravekeepers ensuring the dead are left undisturbed in their slumber, poets spreading their tales by oral tradition, or even wandering warriors collecting the smaller, oft-forgotten imprints of souls from the far corners of the world.

Level 3: Lay to Rest

Once on your turn, immediately after you hit a creature with an attack or cause it to fail a saving throw against a spell that does damage, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to bring it closer to Death’s door. If this damage reduces the creature to a number of Hit Points equal to or less than twice your Paladin level, you can choose to have it die, and it cannot become Undead by any means short of divine intervention or the Wish spell while dead. At the DM’s option, you may learn a significant fact or tale about the creature.

Otherwise, the target and each creature of your choice within 15 feet of it takes Force damage equal to twice your Charisma modifier, and they cannot regain Hit Points until the start of your next turn.

Level 3: Oath of Remembrance Spells

The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Remembrance Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Oath of Remembrance Spells
Paladin Level Spells
3 Comprehend Languages, Sanctuary
5 Borrowed Knowledge, Rime's Binding Ice
9 Speak with Dead, Spirit Guardians
13 Divination, Spirit of Death
17 Far Step, Legend Lore

Level 3: Ancestors' Aid

As a Bonus Action, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to call upon the knowledge of the deceased. For the next 10 minutes, you grant yourself a bonus to Intelligence checks equal to your Charisma modifier.

Level 7: Aura of the Tundra

You have started to channel the power of the snow-laden underworld itself. You and your allies gain Temporary Hit Points equal to twice your Proficiency Bonus at the start of each of their turns while in your Aura of Protection.

Level 15: Lupine Insight

Uen’s domain runs wild with wolven spirits, and you have inherited their senses and cunning. You can learn one of the following of a creature you damage with the Divine Smite spell.

  • One of the creature’s Immunities, Resistances, or Vulnerabilities, or lack thereof, for one damage type or condition of your choice
  • One of the creature’s saving throw proficiencies, or lack thereof, for one ability score of your choice
  • One creature’s types of Senses, and the range of that Sense
  • One of the creature’s Speeds
  • The creature’s Armor Class

Level 20: Blessing of the Wolf Warden

You can call upon the Warden of Souls to grant you an aspect of his might. As a Bonus Action, you gain the benefits below for 10 minutes or until you end them (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).

Otherworldly Ward. You and those within your Aura of Protection gain Resistance to Necrotic and Radiant damage.

Silver Blade. You can change the damage type of your attacks and spells to Force damage, and they ignore Resistance to Force damage.

Hindering Storm. When a creature within your Aura of Protection damages you or an ally you can see, you can use your Reaction to whip up a flurry of snow in response. Creatures within your aura are Heavily Obscured from the damaging creature until the end of its next turn.

Activate Blessing of the Wolf Warden
